We are looking to buy a Nissan Navara pickup for our company - Is this vehicle classified as a commercial vehicle? Can we reclaim 100% of the VAT? Is there 100% tax allowance in the first year?
Hi Paul Thank you for your email. The Nissan Navara is treated as a commercial vehicle. You may be able to reclaim the VAT subject firstly to being VAT registered. There are other things to take in to account such as are you on the Flat Rate VAT scheme? Will there be any private use? Do you issue any VAT exempt invoices? You may be able to claim this in your AIA, again there are questions needing answering such as private use etc.?
