The first rule of Black Friday is: there are no rules. So, get your pads and helmets on, we're going shopping.
Black Friday is infamous for being the retail equivalent of a hard-fought rugby match – it's physical, but someone wins eventually. With that in mind, we put together a few tips on how to get through Black Friday if you decide to brave the shops.
The key phrase is "safety in numbers". Make sure your team is briefed on which bits to grab, where to go, and arrange a safety word you can shout if you need reinforcements.
Lurk and hover
You're not the only one eyeing up that 50" LED back-lit TV, get in position, lurk, hover, then pounce on the thing you want when the coast is clear.
Wear the right clothes, something that allows you to move and won't heat you up, and put on some trainers so you can get to the deals quicker. You could also put on some extreme sports gear just for good measure.
Black Friday is all well and good, but nothing beats hoovering up the bargains from the comfort of your own home. Just remember that if you don't manage to find the deals you need today, you might find them online on Cyber Monday.
Transport is king
Having your own car with ample space for purchases is key to Black Friday success, and at the end of the day you won't have to squeeze onto the tube with everyone else. Perfect!
And if you need help with transport…
