Current Ford Transit Connect Offers
This is a medium-sized van option, which has been designed to be tough with a no-nonsense attitude. The driver’s cab includes a number of car-like features to make the drive as easy and comfortable as possible, while there is a choice of short and long wheelbases.
Designed to keep your business on the move, the SWB van has a maximum load length of 2,467mm, which rises to 2,715 in the LWB model. Payload is as high as 908kg and you can fit two Euro pallets in landscape. Up to 4.3m3 of load space is on offer if you chose the LWB version, and have the passenger seat folded.
You can also choose a Crew Van model, in both short and long wheelbase options.
Ford has worked hard to get the Ford Transit Connect Van offering a rugged durability not usually seen in commercial vehicles. Handling is impressive thanks to the independent MacPherson strut front suspension, which combines multi-leaf springs (single leaf springs appear on the SWB models), so you get improved road holding and handling when driving.
Under the hood sits the latest 1.8-litre Duratorq TDCi Euro Stage V Common rail diesel engine, offering economy along with efficient power.
You don’t need to fill up with any special fuel or additives, which help to keep running costs down. Fuel consumption has been improved and emissions reduced without affecting the van’s driveability.
The Ford Transit Connect Van may look compact, but the interior has been used to its optimum, offering 1,226 minimum width between wheel arches. The sides are upright to help create as much space as possible – it also makes the outside ideal for sign writing to advertise you and your business. Reinforced fixing points are already fitted, so that you can install racking systems or shelving without having to drill any holes, and there are six DIN compliant floor tie-down eyes to help keep your load secure.
Safety features include driver’s airbag, anti-submarining ramps in front seats, to prevent passengers sliding under seatbelts in the event of a collision, hazard-warning lights that flash when you brake heavily, and an Electronic Stability Program and ABS.
