Good Route Management Systems on Show
27 Oct, 2009
The Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show organisers are encouraging fleet managers to visit their exhibition in April next year to see a variety of ways by which LCV fleets can cut costs, mileage and emissions.
The CV Show is held annually and the 2010 show is set to run from April 13 – 15 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Exhibitors include Cybit, Tom Tom Work and Road Tech, all of which will be showing off their latest route-planning technology. Organisers of the show are advising fleet managers to avoid costly fuel bills and delays by scoping out the best route-management system for their fleet; the newest satellite navigation technologies can identify LCV-specific routes in order to avoid low bridges, for example.
Due to the huge amount of new technologies now available to fleets, 2010’s CV Show will feature a dedicated IT Zone, featuring routing and scheduling devices, on-board computers and wireless solutions.
