The Ford Transit has been named the country's most reliable van in the largest survey of its kind.
The UK’s 50 largest fleet companies were asked to rate their most reliable vans in their combined fleets of 183,000 light commercials.
Ford completed a hat-trick of reliability wins after its Transit was named the most reliable van for the third year running in the FN50 reliability survey and the vehicle giant was also named the most reliable van manufacturer. The Vauxhall Astravan took second place, with the Transit Connect taking third spot.
Also in the top 5 of the charts were two impressive rivals for fleets to consider, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and the Volkswagen Transporter.
Ford dominated the manufacturer reliability table, with Mercedes-Benz securing the second place, ahead of Volkswagen in third.
Points were awarded according to the number of times brands or models appear in the reliability tables supplied by leasing firms and for the position in which they are placed based on a listing of the top five.
