New Traffic App from the RAC

UK Motoring organisation, the RAC, have launched an exciting FREE application for users of Apple's iPhone and the Google Android mobile phones.

The new application provides van and pickup truck drivers with up to the minute traffic status information. What sets the RAC's offering apart from other similar applications in the market place, is that the vehicle's precise location is calculated and shown with a start and finish point of any congestion. This is then overlaid onto Google Maps.

The RAC app uses real time information provided by Trafficlink, and can provide both text and audio summaries of traffic conditions in the drivers area.
