Isuzu Rodeo 2.5TD Denver Max Double Cab 4x4 Leasing Deal
As the name suggests, the Isuzu Rodeo 2.5TD Denver Max Double Cab 4x4 is the bigger brother of Isuzu’s Rodeo Denver. Pitched at drivers who want a little more finesse than the younger siblings offer them but don’t need the power of three-litre engine, the Denver Max certainly brings no shame on the family.
Under the bonnet, things aren’t all that different from Denver junior. There’s 3600rpm and 136bhp, generating 294nm torque that’s easily capable of shifting around the Denver Max’s 1075kg payload. It’ll ramp up to 62mph in a respectable 12.8 seconds, while drinking a fairly frugal 34.9 gallons of petrol to the mile. What’s more, its 213g/km co2 emissions just escape the highest tax rate – so the Denver Max has the potential to prove an economic option.
Storage space is decent, if not superlative. The Denver Max is 1735 tall with a load length of 1350 and between-wheel width of 1040, which means it’s a good choice for carting around bulky objects when you’re not ferrying up to four passengers instead.
The truck is a smooth drive, well-weighted in the steering department and sturdily put together, which means creaks and groans are kept to a minimum. It prefers rough terrain to tarmac, easing over bumps but roaring loudly on motorways.
It is inside the vehicle that the second word of the Denver Max’s name becomes truly apparent. With six speakers, a hands-free Bluetooth kit, swish leather seating and mp3 player, the truck turns on the style more than its smaller counterpart.
Isuzu’s Rodeo is a well-respected, solid pick-up and there’s little to choose between the performance of its Denver models. But if you’ve got a few extra pounds to play with and value your mod cons, the Denver Max is the one for you.
