Citroen is proving its popularity once again, after boasting one of its highest ever shares of the light commercial vehicle market. January saw the company sell nearly 10% of all the vehicles sold in the Light Commercial Vehicle market. Amongst the vehicles which have helped Citroen to grab such a large share of the market are, the Citroen Nemo, the Citroen Relay and of course the Citroen Berlingo.
The requirements a small businessperson demands from their van differ hugely and it is the variety of vans Citroen offers to the Light Commercial Vehicle sector, that has helped the manufacturer play such an important part in van sales during January.
Citroen's different models cater for every different kind of operation. The Citroen Nemo, which is the smallest model in the range, has seen a huge growth in popularity, with a 78% increase in sales compared with January last year. Meanwhile the largest van in the family, the Citroen Relay is also making marks against its competitors.
Perhaps the jewel in the crown of the Citroen range though, is the Citroen Berlingo which managed to outsell all of its competitors in the small van market. The choice of options on the Citroen Berlingo is perhaps the reason for its' popularity; coming in two lengths, three payloads, three trim levels and a choice of petrol , diesel or micro-hybrid power - there really is a van for the diverse requirements of all small and medium sized businesses.
