Fiat's fuel saving eco:Drive system, which is available on a variety of vehicles available for van leasing, has won an award.
The fleet version of eco:Drive has been named Best Green Development at this year's BusinessCar magazine awards.
Fiat's eco:Drive records information about the vehicle user's driving style and uses this to offer advice on how to improve efficiency.
The can lead to CO2 reductions and fuel savings of up to 15 per cent.
eco:Drive Fleet can record and measure mileage data for all fleet vehicles and display it by vehicle or driver, either individually or collectively.
"Fiat's eco:Drive Fleet system really impressed the judges, with the system's ability to make a real difference to fuel use, and therefore a business's running costs, key to its victory," said Paul Barker, BusinessCar editor.
The system is available on the Grande Punto Van, Punto EVO Van, Fiorino and Doblo Cargo.
It has already won several awards, including a Guardian Innovation Award in 2009.
