Van leasing customers may want to use fuel cards to help them lower costs.
According to research carried out by Fleet News, 83 per cent of fleet managers polled are now using fuel cards to help manage their fuel costs.
It found that 37 per cent are predicting a rise in their fuel spend next year, while 15 per cent said they expect the amount they spend on fuel to rise by ten per cent or more in 2011.
The news provider reports that a major theme in the research was that fleet managers were using fuel cards not just to cut down on petrol and diesel prices, but also on administration.
"Fuel cards are an invaluable tool to manage fuel expenditure," one respondent said.
"As well as offering competitive pricing, cards offer useful management tools and information that help to control overall fuel usage and CO2 monitoring."
It was recently reported that supermarkets Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco have all cut their fuel prices by 1p per litre.
