People looking to pack up their Ford Transit Trend vans and head overseas would be wise to ensure they are fully prepared before getting behind the wheel.
That is according to road safety firm GEM Motoring Assist, which has issued a a leaflet entitled Your Introduction to Driving in Europe.
Various sections are covered by the handout, which may prompt individuals into taking action or serve as a useful checklist for tasks they have already carried out.
Chief executive officer of the firm David Williams said: "With lots of changing and often confusing laws and road signs, it's crucial to plan ahead and look into the countries you'll be travelling in."
He added the organisation is keen to highlight the importance of planning ahead and help drivers to stay safe.
Recent research conducted by elephant.co.uk indicated that males under 25 are particularly at risk of causing more damage in an accident than females of the same age.
