Nissan to introduce breathable vitamin C

Van leasing models from Nissan could include some innovative new design features in the future.

The manufacturer has announced that it is to introduce breathable vitamin C into new car models, raising the possibility of the technology also making its way to the company's vans.

According to Agence France-Presse, the vitamin C, which helps moisturise the skin, will be pumped through the vehicle's air conditioning system.

Other new features customers can expect in the next few years include speedometers that issue drivers with reminders of important dates, such as birthdays, and a specially designed chair that improves blood circulation and reduce the chances of back pain during long drives.

Nissan also plans to introduce anti-collision technology that slows vehicles down when they get too close to objects in front.

"The emotional aspect of a car has become increasingly important and as customer needs diversify," Nissan engineer Kenichi Tanaka told the news provider.

Current Nissan vans on offer include the Combi, NV200 and Primastar.
