OnStream chooses Ford Transit ECOnetic

Those looking for an eco-friendly model to van contract hire may want to follow the lead of OnStream and go for a Ford Transit ECOnetic.
The leading supplier of gas and electricity metering services has announced it is taking delivery of 50 to be used by its technicians as they visit homes around the country.
A key reason for choosing the Ford Transit ECOnetic was its evnironmentally friendly credentials said the company.
Andy Spence, OnStream operations delivery manager, said that, as OnStream's smart meters help consumers to reduce energy consumption and waste emissions, the choice of van is "wholly appropriate".
Meanwhile, Stephen Gafson of Ford commented: "Ford is one of the first manufacturers to transfer from its cars to vans technology that reduces fuel consumption.
"Ford ECOnetic technology provides great benefits for companies looking not only to make fleet cost savings but also to use fuel-saving technology to help meet energy reduction targets."
Released in 2009, the ECOnetic has a fuel economy of 39.2mpg, equating to an average of 189 g/km of CO2.
