Renault and Vauxhall to continue van partnership

Collaborative models from Renault and Vauxhall are to continue to become available for van leasing for the foreseeable future.

The two manufacturers have announced they are to continue the partnership between their light commercial vehicle departments.

This will see them work together on the next generation of the Renault Master and Vauxhall Movano vans.

Vauxhall and Renault began cooperating on van development in 1996, with the development of the first generation of the Master/Movano range.

Earlier this year, they launched a new generation of the vans which included rear wheel drive versions and a number of factory produced, specially converted vehicles as part of an extended model range.

The two van models are jointly developed but branded and marketed individually through the two manufacturers.

Last week, Renault announced it is to release an electric version of its Kangoo van.

Called the Kangoo Van ZE, it will have a top speed of 81mph and a range of 100 miles.
