Renault Kangoo Compact is withdrawn together with Other Renault Models

Despite pioneering the electric commercial van across Europe in the form of the Renault Kangoo EZ, the Renault Kangoo Compact together with other Renault models are to be withdrawn in an effort to streamline its model range to boost profits.

As well as the Renault Kangoo Compact van, the French van and car manufacturers are withdrawing the Renault Kangoo passenger car together with the Grand Modus, Modus, Wind, Laguna, Espace, and Grand Espace to.

Renault has announced that the combined sales of its cars equate to 10% of its sales for 2011, and this is one of the reasons they are being withdrawn from sale.

In a sense it makes sense for Renault to cut the models which are underperforming, as there is no point making vehicles which do not sell.

Renault has launched an after sales package for vehicles which are due to be axed but have been hired by large fleets. The larger fleets will receive a four year/100,000 mile warranty together with four years roadside assistance.

For years free servicing will also be available for local fleet customers.

The Renault Kangoo EZ together with Renault's electric car offerings are considered by Renault as a better bet for profitability, especially considering that every time an electric vehicle performs a three point turn the vehicle makes headlines.

The Renault Kangoo EZ has made its UK debut in Milton Keynes where one vehicle was purchased by Murray the printers who described the vehicle as ticking all the right boxes.
