Transit Connect is 'agile and fun to drive'

Ford van leasing customers looking for a more compact model may be interested in this year's Ford Transit Connect, which is being made available in 55 countries around the world.

Marketed as an alternative to a V-8 equipped van, the Transit Connect is available with five seats and is set to become among this year's leading minivans, the Times Colonist reports.

According to a review in the newspaper, the Transit Connect "screams European chic" and is in "its element" while being driven in the city.

"Because it's based on the Ford Focus platform the Transit Connect is agile and fun to drive," Pedro Arrais, the newspaper's reviewer, stated.

"Its elevated sitting position reminds me of driving a vintage Volkswagen microbus."

Mr Arrais went on to comment that the Transit Connect is available with glass on the side and rear doors, with visibility tending to vary depending on its configuration.

The vehicle is also available with a range of Duratorq TDCi engines.
