Van leasing customers in Barkerend, Bradford, have the highest chance of being hit by an uninsured driver, it has been revealed.
A new survey by Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB) has revealed the five biggest uninsured driver 'hotspots' in the UK.
Following Barkerend is West Gorton in Manchester.
The rest of the top five is then made up off three locations all in the Birmingham area, - Small Heath, Handsworth and Saltley.
However, overall, the number of motorists without insurance has dropped 20 percent in the past four years, from 1.8 million to 1.5 million, said the report.
An MIB statement warned drivers of the 'severe' consequences they face if caught behind the wheel without motor insurance.
These include vehicle seizure, a £200 fixed penalty, six penalty points and a £150 vehicle recovery charge.
A recent study by the Road Safety Foundation found that particular 'high-risk' UK roads were more likely to lead to van insurance claim than others, with half of all the crashes that take place in the UK occurring on just one-tenth of the national road network.
