Volkswagen vans chosen by Winterhalter

Those considering van leasing may want to follow the example of dishwasher supplier Winterhalter and look into the range of vehicles on offer from Volkswagen.

The company has announced it is replacing its entire fleet of service vehicles with vans from the manufacturer.

In all, 47 VW vans have been ordered by the firm, consisting of Volkswagen Caddy Maxi, Transporter and Crafter vans.

Jason Mackay, operations director at Winterhalter, said the manufacturer's renowned reliability was a major factor in its selection.

"We operate a 96 per cent first time fix service for our customers so vehicle reliability was very important in our purchasing decision, and as a German manufacturer we were pleased to find a German van brand that could meet our standards," he said.

Earlier this week, Volkswagen released details of its new Caddy range of vans.

Among the changes made to the vehicles will be the new VW four-cylinder TDI engine which is up to 13 per cent more fuel-efficient than its predecessor.
