Mercedes Benz has earned its success, with intelligent solutions and innovations to make each vehicle better than the one before. For commercial vehicles, Mercedes Benz looks to its new Vito, a panel van featuring a new four-cylinder CDI engine – and the option to upgrade to its BlueEFICIENCY models, which pay great attention to sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
It’s not only the engine that has had a makeover though, Mercedes Benz has improved the chassis and interior, and come up with a whole new range of equipment and extra accessories to make the Vito just the vehicle you want.
Of course, it’s not all about looks and engine power – you need to be impressed by the vehicle’s load-carrying capabilities and you need it to be as flexible as possible. And that’s where Mercedes has worked hard to give you whatever you want. The Vito has been specially deigned to be as adaptable as possible, so that you can choose the features that will work for you and your business. Need a nippy van that can find its way around town without getting stick in tight corners? Then you need the compact Vito model. If you carry a lot of tall or long packages, look at requesting the high roof, or the extra-long load compartment. With three vehicle lengths to choose from, two roof heights and the option to choose a cargo volume up to 7.4m3, there is plenty of choice here. The Vito can carry up to 1300kg, depending on the configuration you opt for, and depending on which vehicle length you decide upon, there is space for up to three Euro pallets.
Keeping you safe, whatever model you choose is an Electronic Stability Program, front airbag for driver, plus the option for passenger airbags as well as window bag and thorax bags for the driver and co driver, safety steering column, large taillights, Bi-Xenon headlamps and a cargo retention grille.
For comfort and safety, the new comfort suspension helps the Vito stick to the road and offer a better ride for its passengers. Rear wheel drive offers better traction, while the Vito proves agile out on the road thanks to a small turning circle – only 12.7m for compact and long models. You can even choose to have optional air suspension with automatic level control at the rear axle to help make loading and unloading that little bit easier.
