If you're looking for a practical van with no-nonsense features, but want a little bit of style for your money, the Mitsubishi 4Work Single Cab is ideal. A standard layout 2-person cab and flatbed loading deck is combined with the bold design you'd expect from a Mitsubishi. It gets the job done, but looks good while it does it.
Externally, the 4Work Single Cab is modern and smart. The styling is functional, but includes striking touches, such as large, imposing bumpers and wheel arch trims. Yet softened curves and slopes take off the edge to make it a perfectly acceptable day-to-day car, as well as a prime light commercial vehicle.
Internally, the 4Work Single Cab has everything you'd need and a little bit more to make the ride comfortable. There's a stereo radio/CD player with MP3 compatibility fed to two speakers, meaning long journeys are that little bit less arduous. You'll also get the standard touches (sun visors, cup holders, door pockets) and a range of security features that make it as reliable as it is robust. In terms of insurance, you're looking at a mid-range 8E grouping.
More importantly, though, is what you get under the bonnet. A high performance but relatively low-emissions diesel engine is on offer, with 134 bhp being achieved. A five-speed manual transmission helps make the van responsive and manoeuvrable. You can also expect 34.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 215 g/km, helping to keep fuel and tax costs low.
Finally, there's the dimensions and payload that make this a real competitor in the trade sector. There's a load deck height of 0.845m and load height of 0.405m; you've also got load length of 2.22m and load width of 1.47 to play with. Added to this is a payload of 1120kg, making this a great practical choice for contracting work.
