Nissan Navara Tekna Connect
The Nissan Navara Tekna Connect is part pick up truck, part SUV. As such, it not only takes an impressive cargo load but also includes the features and comforts you'd expect in a passenger vehicle.
Style-wise, the Navara Tekna is imposing and contemporary. Body-coloured bumpers, flared wheel arches, 17" alloy wheels and chrome front grille create a luxurious exterior that can compete against some of the top-range off road vehicles. Contrasting metal roof rails and grab bars in the cargo bay add to the overall effect.
In keeping with this, the vehicle is designed with ease of use and convenience in mind. The five-seat double cabin has front and rear door entry, while the cargo bay tailgate is fitted with a one-handed release mechanism. Drivers and passengers alike can benefit from the Bluetooth phone integration, trip computer, six CD multi-changers and radio/CD player. All the other gizmos and gadgets you'd expect in a high-spec SUV – including electric front and rear windows, electric sunroof, automatic lights and wipers and electrically adjustable seats – are integral to the vehicle's pedigree.
As well as comfort, the Navara Tekna Connect is built for power. You can expect 190 bhp from the 16-valve diesel engine, which is controlled by a six-speed manual gearbox. It provides satisfactory fuel economy, at 33.2 mpg, and CO2 emissions come in at 224 g/km. The vehicle is rated at 11E for insurance, which is to be expected for a vehicle with so many features.
In terms of dimensions, there is a 1.905m height clearance, 1.848m width and 5.296m length to the vehicle. It has a formidable cargo capacity, with a maximum payload of 1125kg. The bulk and scale of the vehicle is offset by a premium power assisted steering system.
