Matt Le Tissier gives Thumbs Up for Non-League Day
Vanarama and Matt Le Tissier have joined forces to support Non-League Day 2014, a date in the football calendar when the domestic season pauses for international football, giving non-league football centre stage for the weekend.
Our "call to arms" is for football fans the length and breadth of the country to go out and support their local non-league team over the weekend of 6th September 2014. As the grass roots of the beautiful game, Non-League football is foundations that the professional game is built on.
Our challenge for Non-League Day 2014
As sponsors of The Football Conference our primary objective for Non-League Day is to get as many fans through the turnstiles supporting their local team, shattering 2013 and 2012's attendance figures of 39,000 and 36,000 respectively.
Helping raise funds for Prostate Cancer
As well as our 'call to arms' for football fans to support their local teams we are also working with the Prostate Cancer UK charity to raise funds. Every football fan can do their part as we will donate for every fan that attends a game...
- We will donate 10p for EVERY fan that attends a game on Non-League Day
- Based on last years attendance this would be at least £4000
- If we hit our objective of 50,000 fans attending a game we'll double our donation, making at least £10,000 for Prostate Cancer!
