Our Review of the Nissan Nv200
With the competition becoming more intensive among in the small van market, Toyota's approach is to provide a vehicle which is very good at what it does, the Nissan Nv200 provides drivers everything the need in a compact van, and that is they can shift a payload quickly and easily from a to b, negotiating traffic as they do so.
The payload on the Nissan NV200 may not break any records, but it is still reasonable at 752 Kg. Its 85bhp gives a torque of 200 at 2000 revs. Moving a load should not present any problems for drivers as it should not prove sluggish looking at the figures. The fuel consumption of the Nissan NV200 stands around 54.3 miles per gallon.
Loading the Nissan NV200 is easy with rear opening doors and twin sliding doors, which enables a load to be accessed and positioned precisely without the need to climb into the vehicle through the back. The loading the dimensions of the Nissan NV200 give a length of 2040mm, a height of 1358mm and a width of 1500mm, narrowing to 1220mm between the wheel arches. With the added advantage of side loading, the Nissan NV200 can easily have its loading bay packed out, without the need from approaching everything from the rear.
The road handling of the Nissan NV200 is good too, with the weighty yet easily handled steering allowing the van to be piloted around town. Seating is quite high in the Nissan NV200 which provides the driver with good visibility, which allows he or she to make important driving decisions. Kerb to kerb, the turning circle is a 11.1m.
The interior of the Nissan NV200 looks practical and functional. There are good storage options for paperwork and Nissan have given the van a cloth upholstery. Steering wheel and drivers seats are all adjustable, and a full steel bulkhead protects the driver from the load, while a driver's airbags protects the driver in the event of a nasty smash. An MP3 Cd stereo provides the entertainment.
Both ABS and Ebd come as standard with this model and this is quite unusual for this size of van.
There are some nice touches with the Nissan NV200 that will make the decision of which compact van to choose considerably harder. Some of its competition can move heavier loads and have better fuel consumption, but the Nissan NV200 offers the chance to really utilise the loading space which will pay dividends in the long run.

Nv200 Diesel 1.5 dCi SE Van - Double sliding side doors a great feature. Good load capacity. Excellent visibility. Reasonable performance given the good MPG figures. A lot more for your money that some smaller vans. Excellent gearbox and very positive brakes. All in all, a very good small commercial vehicle.
