Vauxhall Astravan Diesel Sportive 1.7CDTi 16V Van Leasing Deal
If you want a vehicle that looks and feels like a car but has the carrying capacity of a van, look no further than the Vauxhall Astra Van Diesel Sportive 1.7CDTi 16v. Modelled on the Vauxhall Astra Estate, this is undoubtedly a car first and a van second rather than something which has been built as a van from the ground up, but despite this it does the job more than admirably.
As is the case with many vans that lack a side door, making the most of the load space will often involve climbing into the driver’s seat to help things along, but this is not too much of a sacrifice to make for the 1700mm load length which is significantly more than four other vehicles in this class.
With payloads of up to 610kg, Vauxhall have added plenty of safety features to ensure that the van remains in control at all times, even when fully loaded. All vans in the range have a high level of standard equipment which includes anti-lock brakes and emergency brake assist.
The common rail turbo diesel provides 80 bhp which for a vehicle this size and capacity is more than enough to ensure a smooth progression both around town and on the motorway. With fuel economy figures of just under 60 mpg for the combined cycle, the vehicle is as economic as it is practical.
Driving the Astravan Sportive is surprisingly comfortable. This model comes with sports-style seats, a leather covered sports steering wheel and full air conditioning. There are plenty of times when you can almost forget that you’re driving a van at all. Both the seat height and the steering wheel position are adjustable so this van should comfortably be able to accommodate a wide range of body shapes and sizes.
