Vauxhall Corsavan Diesel 1.3 CDTi 16 Sportive Van
You should never judge a book by its cover and never judge a small van by its size. While it may lack the height and width of some of its bigger cousins, the Corsavan is more than a match when it comes for loading and carrying capacity.
With a maximum maximum payload of 550kg and a load length of 1257mm the Corsavan is capable of servicing a wide range of tasks while maintaining the ability to manoeuvre easily around the tightest city streets.
Fuel economy is extremely reasonable at a combined 58.9mpg but this is not that much greater that the figure for larger models such as the Combo Van which have significantly more capacity both for cargo and crew.
With 15-inch alloy wheels and an engine that produces 90bhp delivered through a six-speed gearbox, the Sportive is very well named and drives well both around town and on the motorway where it is capable of cruising for long distances in a way that seems almost effortless.
The Sportive also includes a number of other features over and above the base model including air conditioning, reach and rake adjustable steering and a height adjustable driver’s seat. There are also cosmetic touches that makes an already good-looking van even better such as body-coloured door handles, a chrome exhaust tailpipe and dark-style headlights. A radio/CD player provides plenty of entertainment while out and about and a huge number of optional extras allow you to increase the comfort level further still, should you so desire.
The tailgate opens up high to give good headroom and reaches down to just above the bumper to give the Corsavan a low loading height. There is still something of a lip but it is quite small and should rarely present any problems and actually helps to stabilize cargo in most situations.
