Vivaro Sportive Refrigerated Van
The addition of a refrigeration unit is one of the most popular conversions mid size panel vans are subjected to. Capable of chilling to 0 degrees or freezing down to -18 degrees, this Vivaro is flexible enough for a wide variety of tasks.
The conversion process reduces the internal capacity of the vehicle and increases its weight beyond that of the standard model, but it remains spacious enough for a vast quantity of chilled or frozen goods weighing more than 800kgs.
As a Sportive model, this refrigerated van has added driver comfort and sporty features like a leather-covered steering wheel and 16-inch alloys. Inside the cabin the driver can benefit from air conditioning and electrically operated front windows.
An auxiliary input allows you to connection your personal music player to the cd/radio player to give absolute control over your music choices while you are out on the road. The unit can also play MP3 files from CDs and has Bluetooth to enable easy connection with your mobile phone.
Improvements to the interior of the cabin over the old model mean you will be happy to spend more and more time on the road in order to benefit from the improved ergonomics. Life on the road can make it hard to keep organized and the Vivaro does its best to assist by provide plenty of storage nooks and crannies to hold your paperwork and, most importantly, your morning coffee.
Powered by a 146 bhp 2.5 litre CDTi engine, the most powerful in the Vivaro range, this model has lower fuel economy and higher emissions but still delivers a respectable 32.5 for the combined cycle and emissions of 229 g/km. Fuel economy can be further improved by using the cruise control, also supplied as standard. The engine also produces 320Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. Solidly built, service intervals are at 18,000 miles or one year, however the vehicle is intended to have a service lifetime of around 250,000 miles.
