The Volkswagen Caddy is a great all-rounder van offering a combination of fantastic build quality, comfortable driving and practical loading. The Caddy will also pull its weight with a 700kg payload, one of the biggest in the small-van segment. All this combines to make it a great choice for those needing that extra load capacity and power from a small-size van without bumping up to a higher size group.
Under the bonnet, the 1.6 litre TDI engine delivers 102 BHP at 48.7 miles per gallon and handles via a manual 5-speed gearbox. Thanks to VW’s BlueMotion Technology, the Caddy’s TDI engine also complies with Euro V emission standards, meaning you’ll avoid the London Low Emission charge and qualify for the lowest road tax band for LGVs. And when it comes to insurance, the Caddy series falls between the 5E and 6E groups.
VW’s are renowned for their high quality interiors and the Caddy is no exception, there are 2 seats in the front compartment and comfort is paramount. Opting for one of the Sat Nav extra packs will also equip your Caddy with a colour touch screen Sat Nav, while the van comes standard with a MP3-CD compatible radio and a handy aux input socket for plugging in your own MP3 player.
